  • Klettersteige - Via Ferrata

    Ramsau am Dachstein is the craddle of “Klettersteig” -Via Ferrata and the No. 1 in the alps. 18 Klettersteige are in the walls of the legendary Dachstein. The oldest (founded 1843 from Friedrich Simony), 3 Klettersteig especially for kids and of course the big ones in the Dachstein Southface.

  • The Dachstein

    With its 2,700 metres the highest mountain in Styria is set amid stunning scenery with a panoramic view over the peaks of Austria as far as the Czech Republic and Slovenia. Up at the top awaits a natural paradise, far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, surrounded by the rugged rocks of the Dachstein Massif with a view over Austria’s peaks.

    Attractions such as the Dachstein suspension bridge, the Sky Walk, the Ice Palace and the stairway to nothingness are simply the icing on the cake. Here breathtaking moments are guaranteed along with thrills with a view.

  • Leisure park Rittisberg

    Just 5 minutes away is the leisure park “Rittisberg”. Coaster, leisure lake with beach volleyball, Segway-Tours, E-Moto-Cross, Archery and Forestpark are provided for guests. For our guests the entrance to the leisure lake is for free.

  • MTB, E-Bike

    Single Trails, Downhill course and about 20 round trips are available for tough Mountainbikers. All who want it more cozy, we recommend E-bikes. Rental stations and battery chargers are all over the place.

  • Walking, Trekking, Running

    Ramsau am Dachstein is a tableland about 400 m over the Ennstal. The area is covered with walking trails throughout the forest and the wide, mostly agricultural, land.  Lots of trails are leading to the alpine region on 1700 m. Alpine huts, wild animals and a stunning view can be explored on the way up. For real mountaineers, the Dachstein southwall hosts about 1000 routes from 3+ up to 9+.

  • Outdoor sports

    Almost everybody is doing some kind of sports in Ramsau am Dachstein. Besides hiking, cross-country skiing, klettersteigen and mtb, a wide range of sport activities is possible. Horsebackriding, paragliding (Dachstein is part of the RedBull X-Alps), playing golf on the first organical golf course in austria and lots more.

  • Cross-country and Biathlon

    Ramsau am Dachstein is the Eldorado for Cross-country skiing in the alps. 150 km of classic x-country slopes, 70 km of skating slopes, a 2km night slope, several schools, rentals and last but not least about 30 huts are along the tracks.

  • Ski and Snowboard

    Right by our private house is the small skiarea “Rittisberg” together with a kids skischool and rental. Perfect for kids and beginners. For really good skiers the 4-Berge Skischaukel is really close by (about 10 min drive). 123 km of slopes in every difficulties are provided for the skiers. A public transport is free of charge with a valid skiticket.

  • Skimountaineering, snowshoeing and freeride

    Far away from the well prepared slopes starts the area for skimo (skimountaineering). Take your skis, go uphill and make your own track threw the powder. The area around the Dachstein is perfect for skimo. Also snowshoeing is fun in the alpine region.

  • Calm winter

    Calm winter defines walking, horsebackriding or a ride with a horse-sledge or tobagging in a winter wonderland. Perfect with full moon, sparkling stars shine from the deep darkblue sky by night. If you visit one of the original huts in the alpine region the “Kaiserschmarrn” ist often not far away.

  • FIS Nordic World Cup

    Ramsau am Dachstein hosts every year the FIS World Cup NOCO (nordic combination with skijumping and cross-country-skiing). All year around the top teams in cross-country skiing and biathlon are training in Ramsau am Dachstein.
